I started Glengormley High School in 2004 as a temporary teacher of Technology and Design. I have been a Head of Year, Pastoral Learning Leader and Acting Vice Principal. My goal is to inspire pupils to achieve their full potential.

I met my wife outside the Library on her first day here as a new sixth former way back in 1996!

I previously taught in Belfast Model School for Girls for 17 years as an ICT Teacher and held a range of roles including Head of Year and Head of Department. I returned to Glengormley High School in June 2021 having left in 6th Year in 1998, I have such fond memories of my time in the school as a pupil and I was delighted when an opportunity presented itself to return to Glengormley High School. From the moment I joined the school, I have felt as if I have always been here, I love being part of the local school community and I am excited to lead our school as we continue our transformative journey as Integtrated College Glengormley.

I got married on a cruise ship in the port of Miami before setting sail around the Caribbean.
Mr Coey | Senior Teacher
Key Role: KS4 EAL & Standards
I’ve been teaching at ICG for over 17 years, specializing in Geography, a subject I’m truly passionate about. Over the years, I’ve taken on various roles, including Head of Department, Head of Year, and EAL Coordinator. I also hold a Leader as Coach Award and am deeply committed to helping others reach their full potential.
Something you may not know about me:
I went to the same school as George Best, where I was the swimming champion for five years!
Mr Black | Senior Teacher
Key Role: KS3 EAL & Standards
I have been part of the Integrated College Glengormley community since 2019, initially working with EAL pupils before transitioning into my role as an SEN teacher. Over the years, I’ve also served as Head of Year and Assistant SENCo. In my current role as Senior Teacher Link for KS3 and EAL KS3, I am deeply committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential. I am passionate about providing the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed both academically and socially.

Mrs Kerr | Senior Teacher
Key Role: SEN
I started teaching in Glengormley High School in 2007. My role as SENCo is to co-ordinate the support for all pupils with SEN and additional learning needs. This means providing teachers with training and advice, and I also work closely with parents, carers and external agencies. Part of my role involves leading our large team of Teaching Assistants, who also provide such valuable support to all our pupils.
