Insights from Year 8

I love ICG.  On my first day at ICG I was informed which form class I would be placed in, in our first Year 8 assembly.  My favourite subject is Home Economics  because you get to make food and it is always tasty.  My first friend asked me about cars and that is now I made my first new friend.

At first I was scared and didn’t know how to get around school.  Now I’m happy to come to school and I’m always going to classes and meeting new people.  Since I came to ICG my favourite subject is Art because I get to sit beside my best friend.  ICG is an amazing school to go to.

Ayat Atif,  Ballyhenry Primary School

My first day at ICG was pretty scary but the teachers were really welcoming and nice.  I have settled in now.  ICG is a wonderful school and my favourite subjects are Geography and History with Miss Davis and Mr O’Neill.  My favourite after school clubs are Hockey and Netball which are pretty fun because my friends are there too.

Emily Ervine, Whiteabbey Primary School

I like ICG because most of my friends go to ICG as well.  I know who to talk to if there is something worrying me and I feel very comfortable here.  On my first day I was really nervous, but it wasn’t too bad.  I felt really supported by my friends and teachers.

Matthew Monteiro, Glengormley Integrated Primary School

When I started my first day at Integrated College Glengormley, I was unsure what to expect. I was a little nervous on my first day but that changed when I met my Form Tutor as she made me feel better. My favourite subject is HE as we get to cook.

Jude Neill-Jones, Stranmillis Primary School

ICG is a great school.  When I came to this school for the first time, it wasn’t actually scary, it was more confusing.  But trust me, give it some time and you’ll make some great friends and enjoy this school.

Filip Kastek, Ashgrove Primary School

ICG is really fun and in my opinion the best school.  You meet new friends and get to attend fun lessons.  On my first day I was so excited because I would get to learn new subjects and my favourite subject is Home Economics because you get to cook food and eat it.

Tianna Bell,  Mossgrove Primary School

My name is Brody and I went to King’s Park Primary School.  On my first day of ICG I was so scared and I didn’t want to go in, but now I love it.  My favourite subject is Geography, I love it so much.  I also go to after school Football club.

Brody McKim, King’s Park Primary School

My first day at ICG was scary, but I had one friend from primary school.  I knew nobody in my form class, but my Form Tutor  made it okay.  Now my form class is like my second family.  My favourite subject is ICT and I do Hockey after school also.  There are a lot of opportunities that come with after school clubs such as trips to Spain and Germany.  I wouldn’t have this school any other way.

Layla Bradley, Mossley Primary School
